Term 4 Registration Begins Week 6!

Tuesday, September 4th

The Registration Process has changed. 

You MUST complete the following steps before you are registered for class:

• Step 1: Meet with your Program Chair for Recommended Classes 
• Step 2: Meet with your Academic Advisor to finalize Term 4 Schedule 
• Step 3: Meet with Financial Aid 

Once each department signs the form Student Services will begin entering your schedule.

First Come First Served! 

Remember to Register Early to secure the Schedule YOU want.

Scholarship Opportunity!

NEWH - The Hospitality Industry Network - is pleased to announce it's call for Scholarship Applications. One lucky recipient will be awarded $5,000 and all expenses paid trip to the IH/M&RS Gold Key Awards Breakfast Ceremony in New York!

Interior Design students will be able to take advantage of applying for this scholarship if they meet the following requirements:

• Must exemplify the highest standards of professionalism 
• Must have completed half the requirements for a degree that will lead to a career in Hospitality Interior Design or Architecture 
• Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA 
• Must have participated in an industry internship

Scholarship deadline is September 12, 2012.

There will be an artist meet and greet so make sure to stop by and see Professor Thieme as well as the other artists that will be featured during this amazing event.

Tropical Paradise

Congratulations to Fashion student Winnie Shao!

Winnie's design, Tropical Paradise, has been accepted for inclusion in the LIVE EXHIBIT for the 2012 Design Exhibition of the  International Textile and Apparel Association. 

There was stiff competition - Winnie competed with 375 other designs - and only 33 were accepted for the mounted exhibit and 106 accepted for the live gallery exhibit. Only 37% of the work submitted was selected so Winnie has a huge accomplishment to celebrate!

When you see her around campus, make sure to say "Congrats!!!"

Back To School

The IADT Fashion Students are always looking for ways to help the community - and their upcoming event is a great example of their drive toward making the world a better place. 

Fashion students have paired up with students in the After School All-Stars Program to help them get ready for Back to School. All-Stars will model their choices during a fashion show at the Boulevard Mall on Saturday, August 18.

FREE Tutoring

This term we have scheduled Math tutoring:

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12pm - 1pm in the LRC 

and

Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:30am - 1:30pm in Room 203

As always - any other type of tutoring you may need is available FREE to current students - from help writing your scholarship essay to help getting your flats done in Photoshop to understanding the finer points of ProTools or Surround Sound. 

You pay for the right to learn this knowledge - make sure you're getting your moneys worth by accessing tutoring services whenever you may need them!

As a magazine, Business Voice can be found on the magazine rack in the front of the LRC. This rack is arranged alphabetically. This magazine can be checked out for a period of 5 days for students, faculty and staff.
