Video Game Update: Black Ops

Three rounds of Black Ops showed the world who was the best! Dan of Team Ego Vision came in first, barely beating Javier of Team TBA by 1 point. Dakota of Team D.J.O.J. came in third with Nick of Goofed Up Derp Troop rounding out with fourth. 

Game Update: Bop-It

Dakota and Javier of Teams D.J.O.J. and TBA went head to head in a fast-paced action packed game of Bop-It. In the end, Dakota won a decisive victory, netting his team 5 points. Javier of TBA came in second, earning 3 points.

First Place in Mortal Kombat went to Jordy from Team Ego Vision.

Coming in Second was John David playing for Team D.J.O.J.

Coming in Third was Ian for Team TBA: To Be Awesome. 

Board Game Update: 

Uno was fast paced as the players stacked Draw 2 cards on each other. 

Going out First in an Early win was John David of Team D.J.O.J. who strategically played and scored the 5 points for his team. 

Second out was Ian of team TBA: To Be Awesome. 

He was quickly followed by Thomas of team Goofed Up Derp Troop which put them in Third Place. 

Left with all the cards was Fourth Place player Joey of Ego Vision. 

The current rankings are: 

Team Ego Vision held onto FIRST PLACE with 17 points!

Video Game Update: 

With scores of 223 and 179, Jason took home victory for Team D.J.O.J. in Wii Bowling.

Coming in Second was Alicia for Team Goofed Up Derp Troop with 178 and 133.

Coming in Third was Alexis for Team Ego Vision with 147. 

Coming in Fourth was Jason for Team TBA: To Be Awesome with 123.

Board Game Update: 

The Jenga Warm Up Round was crazy as we eliminated Nick from Team Goofed Up for switching hands, Jason from team D.J.O.J. for running out of time, and then Jason from team TBA knocked the edge of the table after completing his turn - causing the whole tour to collapse and leaving Jordy from Team Ego Vision with an easy Victory. 

Then it was game time...

First eliminated, and therefore coming in Fourth was Goofed Up Derp Troop who was eliminated for running out of time!

Second to be eliminated, and therefore coming in Third was Jason for Team D.J.O.J. who was eliminated for switching hands.

Then - it was down to the final two. Breaths were held - fans were turned off - and the room had a tense silence of anticipation as Jordy from Team Ego Vision and Jason from TBA went back and forth...

In the end - Jason from Team TBA knocked the table backing up after his turn causing the tower to collapse amid an explosion of moans and shouts from the onlookers.

Pie Day!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the table to enjoy Pumpkin and Pecan pie yesterday! We served over 500 slices of pie! We also went through 6 cans of whipped cream topping :)

The "grand winner" of pie night was Alicia who won herself a giant plate with 3 slices of pie and a pile of whip cream that would make anyone jealous! Way to go Alicia!

The Learning Resource Center is open regular hours with the exception of being closed Thursday and Friday for the holiday.

Game Tournament

Next week the LRC and Student Services will be hosting a GAME TOURNAMENT! Monday - Thursday, from 11-12pm will be a variety of video and board games for your team to compete in. 
Create your team of 4 members and pick which games you are good at. Each team member can only play ONE video game and ONE board game - so choose your teams wisely! 
Winning teams will achieve fame, glory, and a free lunch!
Deadline to submit the names of your team members is Wednesday, November 21st. Deadline to submit your team picture is Monday, November 26th by 10am!
You can either fill out the Registration Form at school, or email Sam Leif with your team name and the names of your 4 team members.
