Workshop Series

Starting Term 1, 2013 the LRC and Student Services have joined forces to bring you a Term Workshop Series. 

Each term, there will be workshops offered on the following general topics:
Break Week: College Success General Tips
Week 3: Career Guidance
Week 4: Computer Skills
Week 5: Financial Aid
Week 6: Communication Skills
Week 7: Industry Speaker

Each Term the specific topics that are actually presented on will change. 

Term 1 topics will be: 
Break Week: Time Management and Organization
Week 3: Resume and Cover Letter Optimization (Jan. 28th, 1-pm, Room 142)
Week 4: Computer Skills: Switching Between Mac's and PCs (Feb 5th, 2-3pm, Room 207)
Week 5: Budgeting and Financial Accounts (Feb 13th, 1-2pm, Room 142)
Week 6: Getting Over Your Nerves - Group Speaking (Feb 21st, 2-3pm, Room 207)
Week 7: Fashion Industry Speaker (Feb 25th, 5:30pm - 7:30pm, Room 213)

Workshops are different from lectures because they are more hands on. Each of these Workshops will focus on giving you the skills you need to succeed in college and in your future careers.
